摘要
The electric quadrupole moment Q for the ground state of Al-31 (I-pi = 5/2(+)) was measured by means of the beta ray-detected nuclear quadrupole resonance. A spin-polarized radioactive beam of Al-31 was produced in the projectile-fragmentation reaction of a Ar-40 beam on a Nb-93 target. For the Q moment measurement. we developed a new radio-frequency application system to induce the spin reversal. (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
