摘要
Microsurgical vascularized fibula graft revolutionized the treatment of congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia, which has been one of the most difficult orthopedic conditions for many years. Although there were several postoperative complications in 17 cases out of 21, bony union was obtained in all, without a risk of amputation of the involved leg due to incurable non-union or other sequelae. Leg length discrepancy could be corrected with limb lengtheing at the grafted fibula by the Ilizarov or Orthofix apparatus, as a secondary procedure.
