Research of performance evaluation model for integrated project management based on DEA

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is applied in evaluating the performance of integrated project management in this paper. Based on the analysis of characteristics of these projects,we choose carefully four inputs and three outputs, which are very important factors for a successful project. Furthermore, Input-originated CCR model is the evaluation model. By calculating, the result is 7 efficiencies out of 15 projects. The most important thing is that some propositions (such as establish multi-disciplinary project team, ensure global participation, concurrency and decompose activities, and minimize product and process interfaces) are put up to make a project completed successfully. And this paper finds out three advantages by use of DEA over the usual methods to do the performance evaluation of integrated project management, and on this basis further study will be made in the future to do more scientific and reasonable performance evaluation.
