Radiation characteristics of subnormal glow discharge in mixtures of inert gases and halogens

摘要：

Results of the Studies of emission of a subnormal glow discharge in low-pressure mixtures of xenon or krypton with chlorine in coaxial discharge tubes are presented. Efficiency of emission of XeCl* and KrCl* molecules up to 30% with respect to the power introduced into the discharge is obtained. It is suggested to use a subnormal glow discharge for the development of sources of spontaneous emission with a large emitting area, uniform spatial distribution of emission, and long service life.
