Mean values of L-functions over function fields

In this paper, we find the average value of the quadratic twists of automorphic L-functions over a function field. The main tools used are the theory of metaplectic forms and the Rankin-Selberg method. A new sieve technique has been developed to compute the average value of the square fret: twists of the automorphic L-functions. (C) 1997 Academic Press.
