摘要
The ability to manipulate the local molecular environment is crucial to access fundamentally new classes of organic functional materials with unprecedented properties and performance. Despite the progress of the last ten years in the area of organic semiconductors for electronics and optoelectronics, much remains to be done to achieve control at the nanoscale of the local environment of the functional molecules, both regarding interaction with other molecular units or species and with the electrodes or other inorganic components of the 'device'. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
