摘要
The decomposition properties of a granulated soda-lime-silica glass batch, that contained different concentrations of sodium silicate solution as binder, pre-reacted in the temperature range 775-850 degrees C were investigated. The degree of transformation (G), the activation energy of carbonate decomposition (E-a), and the ability to resist crushing were measured. Differential scanning calorimetry/thermogravimetry-mass spectrometry (DSC/TG-MS) analysis and x-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements were also made. The results have shown that using a granulated glass batch provides an increase in batch chemical activity at the stage of silicate formation in comparison with loose glass batch. This is due to the fine dispersion, increased homogeneity and close contact of of the glass batch components after compacting. With an increase of binder concentration this phenomenon becomes more obvious, because the area of contacting and thermal conductivity are increased.
