Mind, Consciousness, and Religion

My paper in the first issue of this journal marked the beginning of a 20-year programme of work on the interface of psychology and religion, which is summarized here under three headings; (i) reductionism and beyond, (ii) the structure of mind, and (iii) psychology and theology. It is suggested that there can be fruitful cross-fertilization between consciousness studies and the interdisciplinary work between psychology and religion.
