摘要
A field experiment conducted during the rainy season of 1993-94 and 1994-95 showed that plant height, spread of plant, branches/plant, pods/plants, yield/plant and seed yield/ha of French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) were higher with irrigations applied at 75 mm CPE than other irrigation regime, but was on a par with the treatment where irrigations were applied at branching + flowering during first and second year respectively. Application of 120 kg N/ha resulted in significantly higher seed yield than other levels of nitrogen. The interaction effects during individual years revealed that irrigation scheduled at 75 mm CPE coupled with 120 kg N/ha gave significantly higher seed yield. Consumptive use of water and water-use efficiency were higher with 75 mm CPE.
