Some combinatorial series identities and rational sums

In a number of recent papers, several interesting combinatorial series identities and rational sums were derived by using different methods and techniques. The main object of the present sequel to these earlier works is to give much more general results by means of certain summation theorems for hypergeometric series. Relevant connections of the results presented here with those in the aforementioned investigations are also considered.
