A Radius-tapered Algorithm for Indoor Positioning System

摘要
In the indoor positioning system based on Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI), trilateration positioning algorithm is generally used. However, the accuracy of trilateration positioning decreases when the point of measurement is close to the beacon. In this article, a radiustapered (RT) indoor positioning algorithm is proposed to improve the positioning accuracy. The simulation results show that the errors decrease after the RT algorithm. The accuracy improvement is 69.96% (95% confidence interval (CI): 36.0104.0). It shows the potential application prospects in the indoor positioning system.
