摘要
This study evaluated immediate and short-term histologic modifications caused by myopic intrastromal photorefractive keratectomy (IPRK) with the neodymium:yttrium lithium fluoride (Nd:YLF) picosecond laser in human corneas. After treatment with this technique, 2 corneas of patients' blind eyes were enucleated and examined with optical and electronic transmission and scanning microscopy. The corneas did not present clearly visible structural modifications in the adjacent treatment areas, and they regained their morphologic characteristics 72 hours after treatment.
