High speed dimensioning system based on single CCD camera

摘要
In this paper, we propose a method for taking the dimensions of rectangular objects using the geometric relationship between a perspective projection image and a 3D object. For taking the dimensions of the object, dimensioning equations arc first derived from the image geometry between the projection image and the object. And then, these equations are applied to the vertexes of the object, which were acquired from the result of such image processing as edge detection, line vectorization and feature extraction. As this method use the dimensioning method based on the characteristic of camera ray, this is capable of implementing not only the simple system but also the system with the high speed and accuracy. By the experimental results, it is demonstrated that this method is very effective to take the dimensions of rectangular objects.
