The book being reviewed contains sketches written as part of a seminar run by Prof. Michat Glowinski and propose a whole spectrum of issues related to the Holocaust literature topic and to the problem of how to express what is non-expressible, and, how to preserve a memory on the Shoah - that peculiar event in the history of humankind. The authors analyse various artistic and research strategies of this great topic, sometimes reaching beyond literature (hence, we find in the book texts devoted to film, comic or visual-arts works), skilfully reconciling a well-comprehended empathy with a well-comprehended distance.
