Forward Extrusion Analysis by Rigid-Plastic Meshless Method

摘要
A rigid-plastic meshless model is developed for simulation of axisymmetric forward extrusion process. This method is based on weak form of equilibrium equations and moving least square approximation. Shape functions used in this approximation and their derivatives are defined in initial coordinates of particles, so support domain of shape functions covers the same set of particles during material deformation. Essential boundary conditions are imposed by transformation method. Transformation matrix is constructed once at first stage, because shape functions are defined in initial coordinates system. Therefore computation time is reduced considerably. By the developed method axisymmetric forward extrusion process is simulated. The material behaviour is considered to be rigid-plastic with work hardening effects. Pattern of nodes during the deformation and effective strain contours obtained from the presented model are in good agreement with results of finite element simulation.
