Extractive method of polyethylenoglycols content determination as impurities in etoxylated alcohols

An adaptation of the Weibull method for polyethylene glycols determination, found in ethoxylates as impurities, was described. Multistage separation of polyethylene glycols was performed in custom made, cascade type glass installation with the application of turbulent nitrogen flow through extraction mixture as interphase mass transfer booster. The accuracy and reproducibility of the methods was estimated by appropriate statistical calculations.
