摘要
The contribution deals with the evaluation of the competitiveness of countries through composite index published annually by The World Economic Forum. Shows the most competitive economies according to the indicator Global Competitiveness Index (GCI). Particular attention is paid to the position of the Visegrad Group countries (Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) in chart of competitiveness. Status of the business environment in these countries is in the contribution more detailed studied by individual indicators of GCI in 2009 - 2017. At the end of contribution we present the factors that most complicate business in the Visegrad Group countries.
