摘要
Conventional utility grid networks are normally designed to support loads with specific time related power demand patterns. Including a load in the system which requires substantial energy in a short time interval, as in the case for fast charging stations, leads to voltage flicker, resulting in a high peak power demand. Thus, necessary actions such as deploying Static Var Compensators and energy storage need to be taken to allow fast charging stations in the distribution grid. Therefore, a multiport converter with a stationary storage port to reduce the current required from the grid is proposed. The goal of this paper is to explore the fundamentals of the converters used in each port. Experimental results are shown to validate the study.
