After those darics had come back to the cash desk, there took place under The on the archont an overhauling of the accounts which was the occasion to delete the sums unduly inscribed as receipts. This highly complex dossier, the object of contradictory hypotheses for nearly a century, will find its solution to the sole condition of inscribing it into the very context of the epikatallage.
