摘要
A high numerical aperture Solid Immersion lens (SIL MO) magneto-optical recording system based on supersphere SIL approach is described. Effects of SIL on the recording performance of the magneto optical system are analyzed, It is found that effective numerical aperture as high as 1.46 can be achieved using a contact SIL operation mode and evanescent coupling optimized TbFeCo recording media. A novel quadrilayer media design with CNR value of 50 dB is proposed.
