Simultaneous determination of minerals in beverage samples using capillary zone electrophoresis and comparison with high-performance liquid chromatography

摘要
A simple and rapid method using high-performance capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) was applied for the simultaneous determination of minerals in beverage samples. The five cations (Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Mn2+) were well separated in a few minutes. The concentrations of the cations determined by the CZE and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods were in good agreement. The proposed CZE method is simple, rapid, and does not require any troublesome preliminary preparation procedures for beverage samples except dilution.
