摘要:
The concept of precision farming has been made possible by the use of satellite location systems to produce maps of the distribution of data within individual fields on farms. This was first introduced on a practical scale with a yield measurement system fitted to a combine harvester. It is now possible to map fertility levels in the soil and using field maps, apply fertiliser on a variable basis according to the different levels shown on the map. Sampling of pests, diseases and weeds can be carried out using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) which may in time be linked to variable spray application in order to rationalise pesticide application. A need is identified for simple sensors for infield use by agronomists in order to record the location of pests and weeds for use as an agronomy management tool.
