Microwave surface resistance studies in silver doped Bi1.84Pb0.4Sr2Ca2.2Cu3O10 superconductor

摘要
The microwave surface resistance and microstructure of silver doped Bi1.84Pb0.4Sr2Ca2.2Cu3O10 superconductors were studied. The specimen with 10 wt% silver was more compact and has highly oriented plate-like grains in comparison to other specimens. Two special features were observed: 1) 10 wt% Ag doping level was the optimum for obtaining high quality superconductors; and 2) high temperature and low temperature peaks appeared in the 15 wt% Ag doped sample in microwave surface resistance measurement.
