Analysis of orthotropic thick plates using hybrid-Trefftz elements

摘要
This paper discusses the analysis of orthotropic plate structures using hybrid-Trefftz finite elements. While the approach can be used for elements of arbitrary geometry, the paper concentrates on the development of a simple and robust triangular element. Analytical expressions for the required elements matrices can be developed, leading to improved computational efficiency. Examples are given to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the element.
