摘要
Nano-powder TiO2 and ZnO possess excellent anti-Ultraviolet (UV) performance in UVB (280 similar to 320nm) and UVA (320 similar to 400nm) respectively, so that their use in UV resistance finishing is worth researching. To obtain better anti-UV performance in both UVB and UVA, a new approach using mixed nano-powder TiO2 and ZnO is presented. Because the nano-powder does not dissolve in water and lacks affinity to the natural fabric, it is necessary to confect the nano-powder into relatively stable Suspended liquid and then the nano-powder is transferred into the fabric by pad-roll. Therefore, our Studies focused on the preparation of the suspended liquid. The Na polycarboxylate was selected as the dispersant, and distilled water as the dispersed phase. Using the transmissibilities of UVA and UVB as evaluation indexes, Optimal formula for the suspended liquid of the mixed nano-powder TiO2 and ZnO was obtained by the orthogonal experiments on the ratio of the Mixture, the dosage of dispersant and PH value. The UVA and UVB transmissibilities of the cotton fabric treated with the suspended liquid is 2.42% and 1.38% respectively, which indicate that the treated cotton fabric by the suspended liquid possesses much better anti-UV performance than those treated by single liquid.
