摘要
The corrosion behaviour of zinc metal in some organic solvents was tested electrochemically using galvanometric polarization measurements, The results showed that the studied organic solvents act as mixed type inhibitors, The inhibition was assumed to occur via physical adsorption of the inhibitor molecules fitting a Temkin's isotherm, The inhibition eficiency of the solvents increase in the order: glycerol>ethylene glycol>DMSO>dioxane. This order is not affected by the variation in temperature in the range 35-55 degrees C. The increase in temperature was found to increase the corrosion in absence and in presence of inhibitors. Some thermodynamic parameters for adsorption were also computed and discussed.
