摘要
Increasing number of global human population leads to construction of tall buildings which have different types in terms of lateral resisting systems. One of the recent types is suspended tall buildings which can be divided into compressive or tensile ones. In this paper, the size effect of meshes in the concrete-core framework of tensile suspended tall buildings on linear analyses is discussed. In order to reach this objective, fourteen tensile models which have concrete cores in the middle of their plan were modeled by ETABS 9.4. v software and analyzed linearly. The maximum amount of reactions in the base points along with the normal and shear stresses in the lowest mesh of shear walls for each model is acquired by linear dynamic (modal) analyses. Finally, the results were compared and show that the optimum size of meshes can be considered close to the amount of the thickness of concrete cores.
