V-8 internal combustion engine bond graph model a detailed modeling procedure

摘要
An eight cylinder engine model is proposed. The system's thermofluid and mechanical effects are considered in a single model. The model is oriented to study the system dynamics of an operational engine such as torsional vibrations, dynamic loads and natural frequencies in relation to the life of engine components. The use of bond graph and pseudo bond graph techniques to construct a model of a V-8 automobile engine is explained in detail. The model is an application of large multiport multienergy models and how the controlling differential equations of a model in such magnitude be generated error free. In order to do this, the Computer Aided Modeling Program CAMP-G is used. The model contains eight multiport C' and thirty two multiport R's. The characteristics of a V-8 Chevrolet 350 engine are used. Finally, the model is used in the study of crankshaft torsional vibrations and the effects of vibration dampers.
