摘要
The investigation of Cu-thickness dependence of magnetic and magneto-optical properties of Au/Cu-wedge/NiFe sandwiches were performed with the help of the magneto-optical method with micron resolution. It was discovered that the magnitude of the transverse Kerr effect oscillates, as Cu-wedge thickness is variable. It was found that the: period of these oscillations is equal to similar to 6 Angstrom. The observed oscillations of the transverse Kerr effect can be interpreted as arising from spin-polarized quantum-well states in the Cu overlayer. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
