摘要
Two different approaches used in code scalability testing were compared with respect to their objectives, costs and usefulness. The two methods analyzed for evaluation of code scalability included analytical structural models and empirical multi-dimensional curve fittings. System vendors were reported to prefer analytical methods and service bureaus use empirical approach for code testing. A hybrid approach which increases the utility of both techniques was also proposed.
