Mechanism of asymmetric induction in catalytic hydrogenation, hydrosilylation and cross-coupling reactions on metal complexes

摘要
The current state of studies on the mechanisms of asymmetric hydrogenation, hydrosilylation and cross-coupling induced by metal complexes is considered. These mechanisms are analysed for indetification of the stage in which the asymmetric induction takes place. Classification of asymmetric induction in accordance with the difference between these stages is proposed. In most cases asymmetric induction occurs in the stage of substrate coordination by catalytic complex (key-lock interaction). It is reasonable to suppose that asymmetric carbon atom in the product is formed in the stage of transformation of the asymmetric intermediate, even though the starting chiral catalytic complex is C-2-symmetrical.
