摘要
The aim of this study is to evaluate the differences in the reported solar origin identifications to the same in situ observed energetic proton event and to estimate the possible consequences. In order to assess such issue in a a quantitative manner, both, the solar origin estimation (e.g., the observer selection of the solar flare and coronal mass ejection to each particle event) and the level of certainty on this procedure are used. Pearson correlation coefficients are calculated between the parameters of the protons and their solar origin. For the purpose of this study, the 20 MeV SOHO-ERNE proton catalog is finalized and used as a reference proton event list.
