A state-independent projection approach to cyclotron transition linewidths in Ge with anisotropic scattering

Using the state-independent projection technique, we obtain the cyclotron transition linewidth for the case where the cyclotron transitions between the higher Landau levels are included. As is expected, in the low-temperature and the high magnetic-field regions, the transition between the lowest state and the first excited state is dominant. However, in the high-temperature region, the transitions between the higher Landau states are shown to be more considerable. We also show that the interaction between the electrons and the acoustic phonons becomes stronger as the magnetic-field intensity increases.
