Twenty three species of gall midges from 8 genera living on Rubiaceae species (genera Asperula, Galium, Microphysa and Rubia) have been described. They cause damages of 10 types. Arthrocnodax galiobiae sp. n. is a predator of plant mites, Clinodiplosus microphysae sp. n. is mycetophagous. Eleven new species of gall midges from the genera Dasineura, Geocrypta, Jaapiella, Contarinia, Clinodiplosis and Arthrocnodax have been described in Kazakhstan. Fifteen species from 6 genera inhabiting Rubiaceae have been found here. Gall midges from Rubia and Microphysa have been registered only in desert.
