摘要
Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technique is generally considered to be the most cost-effective method for pipeline corrosion monitoring. However, it is very difficult to study variety rule in MFL testing by using physics experiment method. Interpreting MFL signals to give accurate sizes of corrosion pits requires considerable expertise. In order to be able to identify and characterize corrosion, Finite element analysis (FEA) has been used to study MFL signals. This paper presents FEA of MFL field. MFL signals of three complex corrosions were calculated and analyzed by using FEA. A well understanding of these affections is helpful for interpreting the MFL signals by FEA.
