摘要：

The aim of this paper is to present a reflection about the role of culture and mass entertainment in the Spanish nationalization process during the first third of the twentieth century. The article presents an overview of the construction of a nationalized popular culture and it addresses the study of cinema as a new form of entertainment that largely represents the transition to a modern mass culture in Spanish society during the years of the nationalization of the masses.
