摘要
In this paper, a 2 x 1 MIMO antenna array with low coupling based on a wheel-like meta-material decoupling structure is proposed and optimized. By placing the proposed decoupling structure between the two patch antenna elements, the designed MIMO antenna array has not only good performance but also high isolation. The numerical results show that the proposed MIMO antenna array has a wide bandwidth covering the X-band. By using the proposed wheel-like meta-material decoupling structure, the isolation between the MIMO antenna elements are improved to be better than -20 dB. Thus, the proposed decoupling structure can be used for X-band MIMO antenna array applications with good radiation characteristics, wide bandwidth, high isolation.
