摘要
The changes in technology in the recent 30 years have brought an extreme reduction of the firing time for building ceramics such as wall and floor tiles. The effects with respect to glaze systems and decoration products are discussed. Cerdec AG, continuing the tradition of the Ceramic Colours Division of the Degussa AG, has faced those new challenges. The environmental aspects of tile decoration, influenced by the introduction of fast firing technology, are shown. The particular conditions of the rapid firing of porcelain are briefly presented within the realm of environmentally friendly decoration colours.
