Method for preparing tritium-labeled S-adenosyl-L-methionine using methionine-adenosyltransferase from rabbit liver

摘要
A simple and efficient procedure was proposed for preparing S-adenosyl-L-methionine tritium-labeled at the methyl group using partially purified methionine-adenosyltransferase from rabbit liver. In a preparative synthesis, from 6 mCi of L-[H-3]methionine was obtained 3.3 mCi of S-adenosyl-L- [H-3]methionine with a 98% purity and a molar radioactivity of 20 Ci mmol(-1). The product was purified in a single stage by chromatograghy in a microcolumn packed with Amberlite CG-50.
