Corporate manufacturing strategy in the small to medium-sized manufacturing firms in the textile industry

摘要
This paper presents a research carried out in the textile firms of the state of Puebla, Mexico. It aims to identify the Manufacturing in Corporate Strategy (MCS) in the Small to Medium sized Manufacturers (SMM) of the industry. Using a diagnostic tool developed by L. Sprague et. al. [1], a questionnaire was applied to a representative sample, The results show certain inconsistencies in the structuring of the MCS which appear to have serious implications for firms' performance. Therefore, some recommendations are made to improve this performance.
