摘要
Position sensor signal is critical to a sensed field-oriented control-based motor drive system. Mechanically mounted position sensors may subject to an uncalibrated alignment about the rotating axis due to environmental/operation conditions. The necessity for proper offset correction is highlighted in this paper along with an effective strategy to quantify the static position sensor offset error in the event of such fault. This proposed strategy utilizes a current estimation-based fault detection strategy, reusing signals that are already available on an FOC machine drive system. Simulation and experimental results are presented herewith that correlate with the theoretical analysis of the fault diagnosis, to justify the algorithm performance.
