Body Obstruction Characteristics for Off-body Channel under Hospital Environment at 6 similar to 8.5 GHz

摘要
The statistical characteristics of body obstruction (BO) and none-BO (NBO) cases for off-body channel under hospital environment at 6 similar to 8.5 GHz are presented in this paper. It is seen that all the statistical parameters of off-body channel in BO and NBO cases share the same distributions except the RMS. It is also found that the relationship between RMS and coherence bandwidth under BO and NBO cases fits both the inverse proportion relationship and exponential function well. By comparing the aforementioned distributions and the relationship parameters between RMS and coherence bandwidth, the off-body channel in BO case generates more complex multi-path components and signal degradation than the NBO one. The presented results of body obstruction characteristics could be used to develop the physical layer and improve the performance for off-body channel communication.
