Aesthetic Experience and Its Expressions in Music Performance

The authors of the article explore the importance of aesthetic experience for a music ensemble performance. They also review the specific features of its formation among violinists and pianists, taking into account the peculiarities both these instruments have. Considering this aspect, the similar and the distinctive features of mono-timbral and poly-timbral ensembles are revealed. The authors present the additional factors that influence the formation of the aesthetic and artistic taste of performers. Using the works of L. van Beethoven, R. Schumann, and A.Webem as an example, we can comprehend the connection between the aesthetic ideas of instrumentalists and the artistic tasks which composers of a certain era set before the ensemble. The authors also define the role of artistry in updating aesthetic experience in the process of communication.
