Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTE), which is upgraded from full-duplex switched Ethernet, can provide time-triggered flow, rate-constrained flow and best-effort flow for different real-time requirements. The real-time performance of TTE is analyzed in this paper, and network calculus approach and trajectory approach, which have been used in Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX), are modified to calculate the upper bound of delay for rate-constrained flow. A simulation experiment of TTE is designed for the validity of the research on real-time performance of flow in TTE, and the results prove that TTE can be a solution for the communications with different real-time requirements including time-critical needs.
