摘要
This article describes the fabrication of air-filled waveguides having solid metallic walls inside a low temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) substrate. A fabrication method for metal coating the waveguide walls is proposed, and the preparation of air-filled waveguides with existing LTCC process technology is described in detail. Demonstrator waveguides operating at 140-190 GHz frequency were fabricated and their electrical performance was measured. Total loss of around 0.13 dB/mm was measured at the center frequency of 150 MHz. (C) 2008 Wiley Periodicals. Inc.
