摘要
Recent studies on the sequelae of brain injury in children and adolescents have used standardized assessment methods and diagnostic criteria. This is providing a more detailed picture of the relationships of sequelae to injury severity to other factors such as family functioning before the injury occurred. The risk of injury in children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder is discussed and the applicability of syndromes such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and oppositional defiant disorder to postinjury populations is questioned. The sequelae of surgery for childhood craniopharyngioma are reviewed. (C) 1999 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
