Marina Tsvetaeva's prose does not lend itself to clear-cut classification due to its omnipresent autobiographical quality. What seems most prominent in the author's family chronicle is the "mother-daughter (C) over cap relationship, a theme commonly analysed from feminist perspective in autogynographical writing which will be considered in this essay.
