Synthesis and characterization of novel vinyl polymers containing thioester group in side chain

摘要
Three types of new vinyl monomers, methoxycarbonylethyl thioacrylate (MTA), methoxycarbonylethyl thiomethacrylate (MTM), and methoxycarbonylethyl thiomethacrylate (MnTM), all containing a thioester group in the side chain were synthesized. The monomers were homopolymerized and copolymerized with styrene (St), methyl methacrylate (MMA), or N-cyclohexyl maleimide (CHMI). It was found that byreactions of the thioester groups in the polymerization could not occur. All obtained polymers exhibited only amorphous structures.
