摘要
Propagation and focusing characteristics of the output beam emitted from the industrial, transverse-flow, cw CO2 laser working in the range up to 1.5kW were determined experimentally, by implementing the standard scanning knife-edge technique. From the beam propagation caustics recorded under focused conditions the principal beam parameters such as the focal spot size, its location as well as the relevant beam quality factor M-2 were determined. The focusing properties of the beam were investigated for different laser operation conditions defined by the laser output power values.
