摘要
Judicious utilization of industrial waste is an essential ingredient of today's definition of sustainable & inclusive development. Cement manufacturing is a major contributor of carbon emissions worldwide and impacts the ecological vibrancy of nature. Partial replacement of cement with industrial wastes like slag, silica, fly ash etc. has provided researchers with an important area to work and produce efficiencies in industrial waste management. Marble slurry produced from marble processing units' accounts for major geological degradation impacting nearby areas. Its utility as a partial replacement material for cement and the long-term sustainability implication remains a matter of holistic research investigation. The present work is based on a study aiming at analyzing the long term impact of partial replacement of cement with waste marble slurry. The concrete mixes were evaluated in terms of compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, permeability, abrasion resistance and water sorptivity.
